Day to Day HR Support

Employment law, Newbury, Berkshire.

Working with HR professionals

Clients typically call for the following support:

  • to make sure of legal points they are not confident about
  • because they need a sense check – ‘Is this course of action reasonable?’
  • to check the wording on a document
  • we get instructed to write a letter

Often, we can reassure clients that their proposed course of action is perfectly fine. But sometimes our advice is ‘Whoa, what? No, don’t do that!’ And then, needless to say, we suggest a better way forward.

Recent examples have been working through what to do when an employee who was facing disciplinary action raised a grievance against their line manager alleging sex discrimination. We have also dealt with long term absence of an employee who was about to go into performance management. We provide HR support to various clients on a daily basis. This is a great way to make sure problems are nipped in the bud.

Having known Simon for some 20 years, I would like to say what an outstanding and professional solicitor he is. Attention to detail and his knowledge in his chosen sphere (employment law), allowed me to get on with my other tasks in the knowledge that any HR issues were in extremely safe hands. I have no hesitation in recommending Simon to anyone who has issues in the area of employment law. You will be looked after by a consummate professional.
