Catherine took Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Law at Leicester University and went on to practise as a successful solicitor for a decade. She then studied Theology, qualified as a teacher and earned speedy promotion to Head of Faculty at a large secondary school, before returning to the law with Fenton Elliott Solicitors.
Catherine now uses her unique combination of skills and experience to ensure that the law is as useful and accessible to clients as possible. Her well honed communication skills bear fruit whether it is in persuading an employment tribunal that her client should win or in running an employment skills training course for clients.
She also puts her wide range of experience to good use providing commercial advice, day to day, on all employment issues including discrimination, unfair dismissal, breach of contract, whistleblowing and redundancy. She also advises on drafting contracts, policies and procedures
Catherine has maintained her involvement in education as Chair of Governors for a local secondary school and has close ties with the schools at which she taught.
